Incantation #10

December 27, 2016 by Patti King

Feline and mongrel
the fur it scatters,
most divergent
where it matters.

Fiddlers, restless
and wanderlusting,
never should have
been so trusting.

Radiant heat rose
not from desire,
but earth beneath
your feet on fire.

59 after
your golden hour,
things go south and
things go sour.
